Founder’s Story:

LB1 Mobile Tax, LLC is a mobile tax preparation and tax consulting business. LB1 Mobile Tax services a wide range of clients, including both individuals and small businesses and nonprofits.

LB1 Mobile Tax observed that low income & ESL individuals were undeserved in the areas of tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), (representation in examination, collection and tax court). Low income individuals do not have the financial resources to obtain help understanding their rights and responsibilities. ESL individuals are among the greatest in this underserved population because of language barriers. LB1 Mobile Tax established the LB1 Mobile Tax Assistance and Education Services Foundation.

Our Organization:

LB1 Mobile Tax Assistance and Education Services Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We are a dedicated group of tax professionals, enrolled agents, tax accountants, tax attorneys, and volunteers who support the LB1 Mobile Tax Assistance and Education Services Foundation’s mission. Our tax professionals and volunteers come from all walks of life to give their talents in a service capacity. Our organization encompasses Directors, Board of Directors, and volunteers.

Mission:

Our mission is to raise awareness of tax compliance, to offer tax help to low income individuals, to represent low income individuals in tax controversies with the IRS, and to educate English as a Second Language (ESL) individuals about their rights and responsibilities.

LB1 Mobile Tax Assistance and Education Services Foundation is funded and operated by LB1 Mobile Tax staff, sponsorships, other community tax professionals, and volunteers in a service capacity. Fundraiser and Purpose:

Raise funds for LB1 Mobile Tax Assistance and Education Services Foundation by offering high-value continuing legal education (CLE) seminars for tax professionals, 4-Day Tax Immersion Seminar and “Dragon Tax Lady” CLE Fundraiser Series: Tax Immersion Wednesdays. Offering Tax Immersion Seminars for CLE credit not only raises funds but deepens professional engagement with LB1 Mobile Tax Assistance and Education Services Foundation mission. Our “Dragon Tax Lady” program holds ESL Tax Education Workshops. ESL Tax Literacy Clinics and Senior Tax Clinics for underserved communities and Seniors during tax season.

Tax Immersion Seminar:

This is a 4-day Tax Immersion Seminar offering an overview of an array of tax subjects about Small Business Workshop, Worker Classification & It’s Tax Treatment, Estate Tax Planning & Its Taxation, Qualified Domestic Trust (QDOT) & Its Taxation, Foreign Persons & Its Tax Treatment, Foreign Banks & Financial Account Tax Reporting, Real Property & It’s Taxation, Nonprofit Classification & Taxation, Personal Income Tax Update. Each event is 60-90 minutes with a 30-minute Q&A. You choose which event based on the tax subjects to attend. This is a sponsored by LB1 Mobile Tax Assistance and Education Services Foundation.

Leslie Bonner has 38 years of experience in tax law in the areas of individuals, corporations (both C-Corp & S-Corp), partnerships & LLCs, non-profit and tax-exempt entities, and employment tax law. Leslie is skilled in Tax Consulting, Tax Preparation, Employment Tax, Sales Tax, Internal Audit, and Accounting. Leslie is a Tax Advisor and Enrolled agent with professional experience in helping clients resolve complex tax issues — especially as these issues relate to rental property and passive loss rules, employment taxes, trust, estate and gift taxes, real property & taxation. Leslie holds a Masters in Legal Studies from Washington University at St. Louis School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Woodbury University. Leslie is an Enrolled Agent who is admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
